Dunedin – Known as the Edinburgh of New Zealand, Dunedin is the country’s city of the south, wearing its Scottish heritage with pride.

Queenstown sits on the shore of crystal clear Lake Wakatipu among dramatic ranges. The lake and mountain landscape make it suited to all kinds of adventure.

Glacier Region – The Fox and Franz Josef Glaciers – some of New Zealand’s largest and most-visited – descend down from the Southern Alps and flow almost to sea level. Seeing ancient rivers of ice descending past emerald green rainforest is a sight you’ll never forget.

DAY 01 | Arrive Auckland
Auckland, New Zealand
Kia Ora! Welcome to New Zealand, the youngest country on Earth!
On arrival in Auckland, ‘The City of Sails’, seat in coach passengers will be met by our local Cox & Kings representative and transferred to your hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city.

DAY 02 | Auckland – Waitomo – Matamata – Rotorua
Rotorua, New Zealand
Transfer from hotel in Auckland to hotel in Rotorua, en route visit Waitomo Glowworm Caves and the Hobbiton Movie Set (Seat in coach).
Today transfer from Auckland to Rotorua. Travel south past rolling green hills and lush pastureland to Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Enjoy a guided tour of the wonderful limestone formations and a magical boat ride under thousands of twinkling glowworms. Later, proceed on a scenic drive across the Kaimai ranges and discover the huge, picturesque farmland near Matatmata, where the famous movie Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were filmed. Learn in detail as to how this beautiful farmland was transformed into the Shire from Middle-earth. After you’ve had your fill of movie magic continue your journey to Rotorua, passing through the beautiful Fitzgerald Glade where trees arch over the road to form a tunnel of natural greenery.
On arrival in Rotorua, proceed and check in to the hotel.

DAY 03 | Rotorua
Rotorua, New Zealand
Discover the Te Puia Thermal Reserve, Rainbow Springs Nature Park and Agrodome Sheep Show (Seat in coach).
This morning explore Rotorua’s geothermal wonderland. Discover the Te Puia Thermal Reserve to marvel at boiling mudpools, roaring geysers and hot springs. Continue to Rainbow Springs Nature Park to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife before continuing to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the stars of our sheep industry.

Note – There is no drop at the hotel. Passengers have to go on their own.

DAY 04 | Rotorua – Wellington
Wellington, New Zealand
Transfer from hotel in Rotorua to hotel in wellington, en route visit Lake Taupo (Seat in coach).
Travel from Rotorua to Wellington. En route visit Lake Taupo which is famous for its fishing and geothermal parks. Continue to head south through the Central Plateau to Wellington.
On arrival in Wellington, proceed and check in to the hotel.

DAY 05 | Wellington
Wellington, New Zealand
Explore Wellington on a city tour (Seat in coach).
Discover the amazing city of Wellington. The highlights include a visit to the Houses of Parliament and distinctive “Beehive”, Wellington Cathedral, the central city area and Oriental Bay.

Note: Transfers to and from the hotel is not included.

Enjoy a guided tour of Te Papa Museum (On your own).
Later, enjoy a visit to the famous Museum of Te Papa Tongarewa and explore the five main collection areas – Arts, History, Taonga Maori, Pacific Cultures, and Natural History.

Note: Entrance fee is included.

The rest of the day is at leisure to discover the city.

DAY 06 | Wellington Christchurch
Christchurch, New Zealand
Transfer to hotel in Wellington to hotel in Christchurch, en route visit Cook Strait and Picton (Seat in coach).
Today transfer to Christchurch via Cook Strait into the Marlborough Sounds with its sparkling clear waters and lush forests, before arriving in Picton. It is a beautiful port town with galleries, shops and is the heart of the Marlborough Sounds. Continue to travel south through Blenheim and Kaikoura to reach Christchurch.
On arrival in Christchurch, proceed and check in to the hotel.

DAY 07 | Christchurch – Dunedin
Dunedin, New Zealand
Transfer from hotel in Christchurch to hotel in Dunedin, en route visit Canterbury Plains (Seat in coach).
This morning proceed to Christchurch, en route visit Canterbury Plains. Enjoy the scenery and the breathtaking view. Proceed to reach Scottish influenced Dunedin, famous for the local wildlife and Otago University.
On arrival in Dunedin, proceed and check in to the hotel.

DAY 08 | Dunedin – Queenstown
Queenstown, New Zealand
Today, travel inland through Central Otago towns to arrive in Queenstown.
On arrival, proceed and check in to the hotel.
This morning is at leisure for independent activities.

DAY 09 | Queenstown
Queenstown, New Zealand
The day is at leisure to explore the city or you can opt to enjoy various activities such as bungy jumping, jet boating, white water rafting and gondola rides.

DAY 10 | Queenstown – Glacier Region
Glacier region, New Zealand
Transfer from hotel in Queenstown to hotel in Glacier Region, en route visit Lake Wanaka and Westland National Park (Seat in coach).
Today, transfer from Queenstown to Glacier Region. Travel via Lake Wanaka through the historic Haast Pass to the World Heritage Westland National Park. Continue up to the west coast past spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to the glacier region of Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers.
On arrival in Glacier Region, proceed and check in to the hotel.

DAY 11 | Glacier Region – Greymouth – Christchurch
Christchurch, New Zealand
Transfer from hotel in Glacier Region to train station in Greymouth for your train to Christchurch.
Today, travel from Greymouth to Christchurch on the Tranz Alpine train.
On arrival in Christchurch, proceed to check in to the hotel.

Today, you will be transferred to the airport in Christchurch for your flight back home or onward journey.
