Iran, also called Persia and officially known as the Islamic Republic of Iran, is a country in Western Asia. With over 81 million inhabitants, Iran is the world’s 18th most populous country. It is the second largest country in the Middle East and the 17th largest in the world. Shiraz is one of the most beautiful, historical cities in the world and houses many Persian gardens, ancient attractions, old cities of Persian Empire showing the glory of a nation such as Persepolis and Necropolis and Pasargadae. Isfahan is a city in central Iran, known for its Persian architecture and 17th-century Imam (Shah) Mosque. Tehran is the capital of Iran, its central Golestan Palace complex, with its ornate rooms and marble throne, was the seat of power of the Qajar dynasty. The National Jewelry Museum is home to the Qajar monarchs’ jewels, while the National Museum of Iran has artefacts dating back to Paleolithic times. The Milad Tower offers panoramic views over the city. Matinabad Desert Eco camp gives you the feel to stay in the desert.

Itinerary

DAY 01 | Arrive Shiraz
Shiraz, Iran
On arrival at the airport in Shiraz you will be met and transferred to your hotel.
Check in at the hotel in Shiraz is at 1400 hours. (Early check-in is subject to availability).
Shiraz is one of the most beautiful, historical cities in the world and houses the origin of first samples of Persian gardens and many historical and ancient attractions and old cities of Persian Empire showing the glory of a nation such as Persepolis and Necropolis and Pasargadae.

DAY 02 | Shiraz
Shiraz, Iran
Enjoy full day tour of Shiraz followed by a visit to the Ali Ibn Hamzeh Holy Shrine (Seat in coach)
The highlight of this tour is a visit to Narenjestan Garden which is the most beautiful garden. It has many orange trees, hence it is also called the orange garden. It consists of streams, fountains and a richly decorated pavilion. Proceed to the Nasir- ol- Mulk Mosque, which is also known as the Pink mosque due to its pink colour tiles and its interior design.

Continue to the Vakil Bazzar which is home to handicrafts, carpets, spices and clothes. Next, visit the tombs of Hafez and Sa’adi the famous poets. Later, in the night visit the Ali Ibn Hamzeh Holy Shrine. You will get the opportunity to view the shrine from inside. The glass work of this glittering mausoleum looks very beautiful at night.

DAY 03 | Shiraz – Yazd
Yazd, Iran
Transfer from hotel in Shiraz to hotel in Yazd, en route discover Persepolis followed by a visit to Naqsh-e- Rustam (Seat in coach).
Post breakfast, travel from Shiraz to Yazd. En route visit Persepolis. It was a treasure city and one of the richest in the world. Marvel at the massive statues of winged bulls, a grand stairway wide enough for five horsemen to ride abreast, elegant columns and hundreds of carved figures. Next, visit Naqsh-e- Rustam, the spectacular ancient tombs of powerful Persian kings. Continue to Yazd. On arrival, proceed and check in to the hotel.

DAY 04 | Yazd – Isfahan

Transfer from hotel in Yazd to hotel in Isfahan, en route enjoy a city tour of Yazd (Seat in coach).
Today travel from Yazd to Isfahan. En route enjoy a city tour of Yazd. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Tower of Silence where the Zoroastrians conduct their funerals. Yazd was one of the principal centres of the Zoroastrian religion. Next, visit the Jame Mosque. Its unique architecture has a differentiating feature of Iranian mosques in possessing tall entry portals, called pishtaq. This mosque is an example of two lofty minarets which can be seen from outside of the town. Proceed to Dowlat Abad Garden, one of the historical Persian gardens with a wind tower. Continue your journey to Isfahan and if time permits, visit Pirnia House in Naien. On arrival, in Isfahan check in to the hotel.

Note: Pirnia House is closed on Mondays.

DAY 05 | Isfahan
Isfahan, Iran
Enjoy a city tour of Isfahan (Seat in coach).
Discover the city of Isfahan, capital of the Safavid Dynasty from the 16th century. The highlight of this tour is a visit is to Naqsh-e Jahan Square, one of the world’s biggest squares, created in the 17th century. This huge open plaza is framed by a wall of arches and surrounded by the Masjed-e Sheikh Lotfollah and the Masjed-e Jameh mosques. Marvel at the architecture and tile-work of these beautiful mosques. Next, take a walk through the Ali Qapu Palace to view its enchanting music room and balcony overlooking the square where the Safavid kings sat to watch polo tournaments. Proceed to take a stroll across Siosepol and the Khaju Bridge. Later, return to your hotel.

DAY 06 | Isfahan – Matinabad
Matinabad, Iran
Transfer from hotel in Isfahan to camp in Matinabad, en route visit Vank Cathedral and Jolfa Square followed by a visit to the Jameh Mosque (Seat in coach).
Post breakfast, transfer to Matinabad. En route visit Vank Cathedral. It has an adjacent museum which houses ancient Armenian artefacts. Next, enjoy a walk through the beautiful Jolfa Square. Later, visit the Jameh Mosque, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue your journey to Matinabad. On arrival, enjoy a night under the stars in the desert. Later, proceed and check in to the camp.

DAY 07 | Matinabaad – Tehran
Tehran, Iran
Transfer from camp in Matinabad to hotel in Tehran, en route visit Abyaneh Village and Kashan (Seat in coach).
Post breakfast, travel to Tehran. En route drive to Abyaneh Village, known for its architectural style entirely in red clay. Continue to Kashan. Visit the Fin Garden which is a famous Persian garden that contains Kashan’s Fin Bath where Amir Kabir was murdered by an assassin sent by King Nasereddin Shah in 1852. It is a UNSECO World Heritage site. Next, visit Tabatabaie House, which is an historical house museum. Later, proceed to Tehran and check in to the hotel.

DAY 08 | Tehran
Tehran, Iran
Discover the city of Tehran (Seat in coach).
Post breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Tehran. The highlights of the tour begins with a visit to Golestan Palace, the oldest monument of the city which is built around a garden and Its richly ornamented interiors feature artistic styles emblematic of the Qajar dynasty. The palace complex houses the Versailles-inspired, mirror encrusted Marble Throne Hall used for the coronation of the last Shah and the Ethnographic Museum. Continue to the National Jewellery Museum of Tehran which preserves the country’s jewels from Safavid, Afsharid, Ghajarid and Pahlavid Dynasties. Later, enjoy dinner at a local house with a warm farewell.

DAY 09 | Depart Tehran
Tehran, Iran
This morning, you will be transferred to the airport in Tehran to board your flight back home.
