Itineraries
Day 1
ARRIVE BEIJING
On arrival in Beijing, you will be met and transferred by our local representative to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a Golden Mask Show and enjoy this Chinese ancient romantic fairy tale. Overnight in Beijing.
Day 2
BEIJING
Enjoy full day sightseeing tour of Beijing. You pass by Tiananmen Square; visit Forbidden City - the largest and best-preserved ancient architectural complex in the world, the Summer Palace - the emperors’ magnificent garden retreat. Spend the evening at the Kung Fu Show (optional) and appreciate the incredible feats of strength with fists, feet, swords and other weapons. Overnight in Beijing.
Day 3
BEIJING
Enjoy a full day tour of the Great Wall with Yaxiu Market. On this historical tour, visit the Great Wall at Jyong Guan Pass, one of the Seven Wonders of the World and the only manmade structure visible from space. Proceed on to Yaxiu Market with a photo stop at Olympic Stadium. Overnight in Beijing.
Day 4
BEIJING - XIAN (DAY TRAIN 5HRS)
This morning you are transferred to Beijing train station for high speed train to Xian (Second Class). On arrival into Xian station, you will be met and transferred to the hotel. One of the largest and wealthiest cities in the world when China dominated the silk trade, Xian today is an archaeological treasure-trove. Enroute to your hotel enjoy a Xian orientation tour visiting the ancient city wall and the Wild Goose Pagoda which houses Buddhist scriptures and gilded statues. Overnight in Xian.
Day 5
XIAN
Enjoy a full day sightseeing tour to visit Terracotta Warriors, one of the most significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century. On this tour you can explore the site where 7,000 of these life sized figures. In the evening you can enjoy Tang Dynasty Show (optional), showcasing vibrant costumes, colourful dance and traditional music that have graced the region for centuries. Overnight in Xian.
Day 6
XIAN - CHONGQING - YANGZTE RIVER CRUISE (BY FLIGHT COST NOT INCLUDED)
This morning you will be transfered to Xian Airport for flight to Chongqing. On arrival at Chongqing Time permitting, take a stroll through one of its many attractive parks or through the historic Old Town before you are transferred to the dock to embark on your 3-night river cruise on the mighty Yangtze River, the longest river in Asia and the third longest in the world after Nile and Amazon. Overnight onboard the cruise.
Day 7
YANGZTE RIVER CRUISE
Witness beautiful landscapes as you head downstream through the first and second of the three gorges: Qutang Gorge, the shortest but most dramatic gorge framed by steep mossy cliffs, and Wu, celebrated for its 12 peaks, quiet beauty and forest-covered mountains. At Badong, transfer to a small cruiser for an exciting excursion on Shenlong Stream to view its breathtaking small gorges. Next, sail through Xiling Gorge, the last and most scenic of all the gorges. Finally, pass through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship Lock. Overnight onboard the cruise.
Day 8
YANGZTE RIVER CRUISE
Enjoy the various facilities on board. Why not relax with a traditional Chinese massage! Pass through the Xiling Gorge, the longest gorge among the three gorges of the Yangtze River. Set out on an excursion to the Three Gorges Dam Project, the largest hydro-electrical power plant in the world. Overnight onboard the cruise.
Day 9
YANGZTE RIVER CRUISE - YICHANG - SHANGHAI (DAY TRAIN 8HRS)
Disembark cruise at Yichang. Say farewell to your crew as you are transferred to the Yichang station to board you bullet train to Shanghai. Arrive Shanghai late evening, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight in Shanghai.
Day 10
SHANGHAI
This morning, enjoy a Shanghai City Tour visiting the Yuyuan Gardens, the Jade Buddha Temple and enjoy a panoramic view of Shanghai from the Oriental TV Tower. In the evening, enjoy the Acrobatic Show. Enjoy an unforgettable experience while watching this wonderful Acrobatics Show. Overnight in Shanghai.
Day 11
SHANGHAI
Today the day is free to take an optional Full day tour of Hangzhou or in the evening, enjoy an optional Cruise on the Huangpu River, which divides the Bund into two sections, Pu Dong and Pu Xi, which mean ‘east of river’ and ‘west of river’ respectively. Overnight in Shanghai.
Day 12
DEPART SHANGHAI
The day is free until departure, check out of the hotel as you are transferred for a journey on the Maglev Train to Shanghai airport for your flight back home.
