DAY 01 | Arrive Auckland

Welcome to Auckland, ‘The City of Sails’. On arrival in Auckland, you will be welcomed by our local Cox & Kings representative and transferred to your hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the city and discover why it is one of the best places in the world to visit.

DAY 02 | Auckland
Auckland, New Zealand
Enjoy a city tour of Auckland including a visit to Kelly Tarlton’s Sealife Aquarium and Antarctic Encounter (Seat in coach).
Travel through the city centre, over the Auckland Harbour Bridge and take in the views of the Hauraki Gulf and city skyline.
The highlights of the tour include visit to the Viaduct Harbour, the University of Auckland and the Auckland Domain. Developed around an extinct volcano, the city features tropical gardens, duck ponds and public art, and is also home to the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
Continue through the boutique shopping area of Parnell Village along the scenic waterfront route of Tamaki and drive to Michael Joseph Savage Memorial Park that offer stunning views over the picturesque Eastern Bays, Auckland City and the Waitemata Harbour.
Later, proceed on an underwater journey to Sea Life Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium. View over 30 live animal exhibits with nine themed zones, from over 80 different species in spectacular habitats, including the world’s largest sub-Antarctic penguin colony display and amazing underwater viewing tunnels. Also, enjoy the Penguin Discovery – the aquarium’s newest interactive experience which allows visitors to explore the snow-filled penguin enclosure and the opportunity to get up close and personal with the magnificent King and Gentoo Penguins. You will also have the opportunity to feed the fish, discover the animal quarantine area, dive tanks and much more.
The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy this beautiful city. Auckland has something for everyone – the adventurous, the sophisticated, the young, and the young at heart. From 24-hour casinos and live theatre to cinema, clubs, pubs, bars, and dance spots, you can party all the way to breakfast time.

DAY 03 | Auckland – Waitomo – Rotorua
Rotorua, New Zealand
Transfer from hotel in Auckland to hotel in Rotorua, en route enjoy a guided tour of Waitomo Glowworm Caves (Seat in coach).
Leaving Auckland in the morning, travel through the lush farmland of the Waikato and King Country regions. Drive past Rangiriri, location of the historic Maori Land Wars site.
On arrival in the small town of Waitomo, enjoy a guided tour through the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves with their amazing stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone formations. We finish the tour with a silent boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto – a subterranean cavern lit up by the lights of thousands of tiny glowworms.
We then continue our journey this afternoon by driving to Rotorua, through the forested Mamaku Ranges, and the beautiful Fitzgerald Glade, where the roadside trees arch overhead to form a tunnel of natural greenery. Rotorua is a compact package of natural beauty, from forested hills, and geysers (that spout up to 50 feet into the air) to mud stream vents. On arrival in Rotorua, check-in to your hotel and relax in this perfect paradise!

DAY 04 | Rotorua
Rotorua, New Zealand
Enjoy a visit to Te Puia Thermal Reserve followed by a visit to Rainbow Springs Nature Park and Agrodome Sheep Show (Seat in coach).
This morning, explore Rotorua’s geothermal wonderland and discover the unique culture of New Zealand’s Maori people. Enjoy a guided tour of Te Puia Thermal Reserve and see boiling mudpools and roaring geysers. Continue to Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand’s trout, birds and wildlife before proceeding to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show featuring sheep dog demonstrations, cow milking and an introduction to the sheep industry.
Enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and concert (Seat in coach).
In the evening, enjoy an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and concert. Enjoy the welcome ceremony before you enter the Maori village, with crackling open fires in front of traditional houses. You’ll hear traditional Maori instruments and watch the daily activities of days gone by. Enjoy a display of haka song and dance that a Rangiatea culture group performs.
The afternoon is at leisure. Why not immerse yourself in the Polynesian pools and relax in the healing thermal waters?

DAY 05 | Rotorua – Christchurch

This morning, transfer to the airport for your flight to Christchurch.

DAY 06 | Christchurch – Mt Cook – Queenstown
Queenstown, New Zealand
Transfer from hotel in Christchurch to hotel in Queenstown, en route visit Mt. Cook (Seat in coach).
Today, travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains to Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepherd before continuing on to New Zealand’s highest mountain – Mt. Cook. Depart Mt. Cook and follow the shores of Lake Pukaki south through the historic Central Otago region to the ‘Alpine Resort’ of Queenstown.

DAY 07 | Queenstown
Queenstown, New Zealand
Enjoy a city tour of Queenstown (Seat in coach).
Today, enjoy a city tour of Queenstown. Highlights of the city tour, includes the AJ Hackett Bungy Centre, Arrowtown and Gibbston Valley Winery.
The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities. One can opt for bungy jumping, cruise aboard the TSS Earnslaw steamship, enjoy a jet boat ride, skydive or experience the thrill and excitement of parachute jumping!

DAY 08 | Milford Sound
Queenstown, New Zealand
Enjoy a cruise on the Milford Sound (Seat in coach).
This morning, follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Eglinton Valley and travel through the breath taking man made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise on this world famous fjord, dominated by Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. Buffet lunch is also included on board.
