DAY 01 | Arrive Prague

Welcome to Czech Republic, where East meets the West!
On arrival in Prague, one of the world’s most beautiful and cultured cities, you will be welcomed by your Cox & Kings representative and transferred to your hotel.
Explore an evening of Prague by opting on a Prague by Night Tour. Enjoy the illuminated sights as you dine in style onboard a river cruiser.

DAY 02 | Prague
Prague, Czech Republic
Enjoy a Grand city tour with a visit to Prague Castle followed by a boat cruise (Seat in coach).
Explore the important sights of Prague on a guided walking city tour which includes a visit to the Old Town, New Town and Prague castle. Enjoy a boat ride on Vltava River admiring the beauties of Prague from a different view

DAY 03 | Prague – Vienna
Vienna, Austria
This morning, transfer to the train station for your journey to Vienna.
Travel by train from Prague to Vienna.
On arrival in Vienna, proceed on your own to your hotel.
Vienna, Austria’s capital city and its prime tourist attraction here tradition and innovation walk hand in hand. A compact and delightful city, much of it can be explored by foot as you admire majestic buildings and stroll through pristine parks. Relax over coffee and cake, explore museums and art galleries, swing high above on the Prater Wheel and as dusk falls enjoy a glass of local wine by the ‘blue’ Danube.
Explore Vienna on an orientation tour with a visit to Schonbrunn Palace (Seat in coach).
Explore the city on an orientation tour. Drive around the famous Ringstrasse, Vienna’s main boulevard with its magnificent buildings; pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National theatre), the City Hall and the University. Continue your drive to visit the Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer seat, residence of the Habsburgs and the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour some of the magnificently decorated rooms of the Palace.

The rest of the evening is at leisure to take a break at one of the many wonderful Viennese coffee houses. The coffee house tradition in Vienna dates back to 300 years. Select a mouth-watering cake – perhaps a Viennese speciality, the famous chocolate Sacher Torte to go with your coffee.

DAY 04 | Vienna
Vienna, Austria
The day is at leisure giving you an opportunity to visit Salzburg by opting for a full day trip to the beautiful ‘Salzkammergut’ and lake district.

DAY 05 | Vienna – Salzburg
Salzburg, Austria
This morning, after breakfast, proceed to the train station for your train to Salzburg.
Travel by train from Vienna to Salzburg, the musical town.
On arrival in Salzburg, transfer to the hotel.

DAY 06 | Salzburg
Salzburg, Austria
Enjoy the Sound of Music show (Seat in coach).
This morning, proceed on Salzburg Sound of Music show. See the original film locations and relive the true story of the von Trapp family, filmed as the ‘Sound of Music’ in the Salzburg area. Enjoy the spectacular views of the scenic countryside and stop in picture perfect places such as Wolfgangsee and Mondsee.

DAY 07 | Salzburg – Budapest
Budapest, Hungary
Transfer from your hotel to the train station for your train to Budapest.
Travel by train from Salzburg to Budapest.
On arrival, proceed to your hotel in Budapest.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the sights of Budapest on a optional cruise tour on the Danube.

DAY 08 | Budapest
Budapest, Hungary
Enjoy a city tour of Budapest (Seat in coach).
Today, explore one of the richest architectural and cultural treasure troves in the world, Budapest on a Tour. Pass by the Parliament building before crossing the Danube on the Margaret Bridge and drive to the Royal Castle on the Buda side of the city. Visit the Fishermen’s Bastion, which offers stunning views over the city and the Mathias Church. Following a photo stop at the Citadel, cross Elizabeth bridge and drive past the City Park towards Heroes’ square passing by the Opera and St. Stephen’s Basilica.
