DAY 01 | Arrive Kigali
Kigali, Rwanda
Welcome to Kigali – the capital city of Rwanda that sprawls across numerous hills, ridges and valleys, and has a vibrant restaurant and nightlife scene!
On arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the hotel in Kigali.
Dinner.

DAY 02 | Kigali – Ruhengeri
Ruhengeri, Rwanda
Transfer from hotel in Kigali to lodge in Ruhengeri , en route enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kigali (Private).
After breakfast, depart on a scenic drive through the beautiful terraced hillsides that display Rwanda’s landscape to reach Ruhengeri. En route enjoy a city tour of Kigali including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which is a grim reminder of a senseless massacre of innocent’s lives in 1994. Learn about Rwanda’s history from pre-colonial times to the 1994 genocide and also get to know about other genocides in the world. Continue to see the new developments in Rwanda; the recovery has been incredible, a testament to humankind’s resilience.
After a delicious lunch, proceed to Ruhengeri and check in to the lodge.

DAY 03 | Ruhengeri

Explore the Volcanoes National Park (Private).
This morning, proceed to visit the Volcanoes National Park which is home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Experience the world’s best Gorilla Trekking and tracks the endangered species. In addition to mountain gorillas, the park is home to golden monkeys, spotted hyenas, buffaloes, black – fronted duiker, bushbuck and elephants.
Volcanoes National Park, which runs along the border with the DRC and Uganda, is home to the Rwandan section of the Virungas. Comprising five volcanoes, the Virungas are utterly spellbinding and few would argue that this is not one of the most exciting national parks in Africa. Of all the extraordinary sights and attractions around the Virungas, the one that really draws people here are the mountain gorillas. While most travellers are understandably driven by the desire to have a face-to-face encounter with real gorillas in the mist, rare golden monkeys, a troop of which have been habituated to human contact, can also be visited.

The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and unwind.

DAY 04 | Depart Ruhengeri – Kigali
Ruhengeri, Rwanda
Post breakfast, transfer to the airport in Kigali for your onward journey. We trust that you enjoyed your Luxury Escapades vacation.
