Itineraries
Day 1
ARRIVE ANCHORAGE
Arrive and transfer on own to your hotel.
Rest of day is at leisure to explore Anchorage on your own.
Overnight in Anchorage.
Day 2
ANCHORAGE – VALDEZ
This morning after breakfast, board a deluxe motorcoach for today’s travel through the Matanuska Valley
to Valdez on one of Alaska’s Scenic Byways. Overnight in Valdez.
Day 3
VALDEZ
Cruise today through the majestic Prince William Sound and explore the three-mile face of the mighty
Columbia Glacier. Overnight in Valdez.
Day 4
VALDEZ – FAIRBANKS
Board the motorcoach for the drive north to Fairbanks on the Richardson Highway, the oldest and arguably most scenic of all Alaskan routes. Overnight in Fairbanks.
Day 5
FAIRBANKS
This morning includes a sightseeing tour of the gold mining town of Fairbanks with a stop at the
University of Alaska Museum, and a cruise on the Chena River aboard a classic Sternwheeler. Overnight
in Fairbanks.
Day 6
FAIRBANKS – DENALI
Today travel by motorcoach south along the Parks Highway to Denali. The afternoon is free for optional attractions found in the area. Overnight in Denali.
Day 7
DENALI
Today travel in simple park bus into Denali National Park on the Tundra Wilderness Tour looking for bear, moose, caribou, and sheep. This six to eight hour journey is narrated allowing for insight into the
animals, flora and fauna of this spectacular region including a snack on the bus.
In May & September tours are shortened due to road/weather conditions. A ‘snack box’ is included during
the tour.
Overnight in Denali
Day 8
DENALI – TALKEETNA – ANCHORAGE
Travel by motorcoach from Denali to Talkeetna. Enjoy time on own to explore Talkeetna. In the afternoon the journey continues south to Anchorage by rail on a deluxe dome rail car. On arrival at the Anchorage
train station a transfer is provided to your hotel. Overnight in Anchorage.
Day 9
ANCHORAGE
Today enjoy a brief sightseeing tour of Anchorage with a visit to the Alaska Native Heritage Center. In the evening, a closing dinner and farewell. Overnight in Anchorage.
Day 10
DEPART ANCHORAGE
This morning you will be transferred to Anchorage airport for your flight back home. We hope you will take back happy memories of your holiday.
